Leadership • Influence • Legacy
[00:00:00] Success should never cost you your peers. Have you noticed how today's culture celebrates being busy? With more meetings, more emails, more responsibilities and even more pressure. But here's the question, what happens when you're successful but exhausted?
[00:00:23] Today I'll be talking about protecting your purpose, setting healthy boundaries and building a life of sustainable excellence. Hello and welcome back to Empower and Elevate with Joanna. Throughout Season 6 we've explored positioning, visibility, authority and confidence.
[00:00:47] Today I'm discussing something equally important, something every leader, entrepreneur and professional must learn. And that is protecting your purpose. Because ambition is a gift. But without boundaries, ambition can become burned out.
[00:01:11] And the goal isn't simply to achieve more, the goal is to thrive while making a meaningful impact. Let's look at the following five segments for today. Segment 1, the myth of constant productivity. So we've been conditioned to believe that the busiest person is the most successful person. That's just a myth.
[00:01:39] But business and effectiveness are not the same. You cannot compare both. Some people are constantly occupied but making very little progress. While others work with clarity, with intention and focus and they create extraordinary results.
[00:02:04] Leadership is not the same. Leadership is not the same. Leadership is not the same.
[00:02:40] Leadership is not the same. quietly. You may notice that you're constantly tired even after resting and you're becoming impatient or you're emotionally drained. And sometimes also the task that you have
[00:03:01] that once energized you now feels so heavy and you're productive but you're no longer fulfilled.
[00:03:14] These are not signs of weakness. They are signals that something needs attention. Your body and your mind are asking you to pause, to reflect, and then to reset. Don't ignore it. Moving on to segment three. Boundaries are a leadership skill. Do you believe that?
[00:03:42] Because many people think that boundaries push people away. Healthy boundaries actually protect what matters most. Let's take a look at what boundaries actually allow you to do. Boundaries allow you to protect your time. Preserve the energy that you have and help you to focus on your highest priorities.
[00:04:10] As well as boundaries will allow you to show up fully where you are most needed. So every yes is also a no to something else. You don't say yes to everything and you don't say no to all things. The question is, are your yes is aligned with your purpose? Ponder over that question.
[00:04:38] As we move on to segment four. Sustainable excellence. Sustainable excellence.
[00:05:07] Sustainable excellence actually means that you're making time for renewal. You're protecting your health. Mental health matters and physical health also. Investing in relationships. You're taking time to invest in relationships. And you're building relationships at the same time.
[00:05:32] You're also continuing to learn and to grow. And you're leading from a place of purpose rather than pressure. A place of purpose is where leaders lead from. And not pressure. So think about it this way that also your impact.
[00:05:58] Your impact grows when you are healthy enough to sustain it. Let's look at the final segment for today. The mindset shift. You will always have the mindset shift in all the episodes. Especially in season six. So instead of asking, how much more can I do?
[00:06:27] Why don't you change the question and ask this question? What matters most right now? To you? As a leader? To you? As a person? Purpose is not about doing everything. You don't have to do everything. Purpose is about doing what matters most and with excellence.
[00:06:57] Before I wrap up today, I want you to consider the following question. What boundary do you need to establish today to protect the future you are building? What boundary do you need as a leader to establish, to protect the future that you are building? Your purpose deserves protection. Always remember that.
[00:07:26] So is your peace. Your peace also deserves protection. And the people that you are called to serve, they deserve the healthiest version of you. You are leading with purpose. So the people that you are leading, they deserve to have the healthiest version of yourself. Thank you for joining me today
[00:07:55] and empower and elevate with Joanna. Until next time, I want to encourage you to keep empowering and keep elevating. and remember that success is not measured by what you achieve. But rather, success is measured by how well you sustain the journey. See you next time.
